So, let's see.
1. I suck for not uploading. I get stymied at the outline and scanning stage. Then I don't color them. I should get more copics so I can color anything at anytime. Much easier, sort of. 2. This is SO not canon. My friend *medievallass is running a new character interaction thingy bobber, and I said that I would allow Shiana to interact on a strictly Non-Fighting level. That's because this is for characters from any story, including what one could consider "normal" mortal characters. Shiana would incinerate them in a moment. Therefore, she's got a tea house and she's working on her patience and zen in the ~Scroll-Soldiers town. Alright, now for a description. Because the setting is a generalized medieval settting with occasional setting "enhancements" I have created a transplanted tea house incorporating both Western and Eastern elements. We have tables and chairs for the stubborn Westerners and a more traditional set of pillows and low tables as well as back rooms for more uppity clients (ha!). The cabinets behind the counter are actually her extensive tea shelves with teas ranging from herbal and fruity to strong and black and even a few less traditional, non- leaf oriented brews (maybe coffee since she is getting things from all over the world, but I'm also thinking of root teas and spice brews). There are a few things missing in the PDF. The "gap" in the wall between the main seating area and the private tables should be imagined with traditional Japanese restaurant curtains. The area at the end of the bar (without stools) is where the bartop lifts, although I've considered just removing the counter there if Shiana is doing ALL the serving as she'd be in and out. If Shiana has waitresses, she'd be putting the tea on the counter and they'd pick it up, so it would be a liftable section. Also, my program did not have a symbol for water pump, so I put a sink there, lol. Water comes from there. I imagine the multiple stoves to be for purifying water as well as brewing tea. I've read (though not about perfect tea making I admit) that the purest water must be boiled at least two times. So I think that's what the first stove is for. Probably a distilling situation where one pot boils into a second pot since I imagine that most impurities in that day and age would be minerals not solvents (i.e. benzene, alcohols, acetone). Totally different distallation if it was solvent polluted! Also, those are suuposed to be sliding rice paper doors, not pocket doors, but again, I didn't have a symbol for that. It's also an excuse to draw Shiana in overly ridiculous kimono, something in her canon position she could NEVER do. It's also not something she would normally do, but her character's goal here is to gain patience and calm, meaning the kimono will inhibit her movement and force her to restrict her motions (a little The rules of the tea house are posted outside the door, as well as on the north wall (mapwise, I don't know how the building is actually oriented in the town), and behind the bar. They are simple, and as follows: 1. No Fighting 2. No Drugs (Limit 1 sake per table per hour) Punishment for breaking these rules are swift and simple: get out of the tea house. I think I may introduce her character in a martial arts form to exemplify why she isn't a fighting character, you know, have her extremely swiftly dispatch a small band of ruffians. So, *medievallass you better love me now, because I jumped on this sucker just for you. I'm sending you a copy of the PDF! |
